Day 21: Adelaide (Glenelg) >> Adelaide Hills

We are three weeks in today! We left Brownhill Creek Caravan Park (quiet stay, great shower, but worst WiFi we’ve had on the trip so far). We both needed to dedicate some solid time to work today, so I suggested we head towards the beach at Glenelg to find a café from which to work. (Adam brought me to Glenelg about 10 years ago, and I have fond memories. Plus, the beach!)

We parked Sherwood and walked along the beach, looking at the ocean and the architecture. I liked this building and it’s name. I’d like to write a haunted house short story about it:

We ended up at Coast for coffee (when I say “coffee,” I mean hot chocolate for Adam and chai latte for me), working, and, ultimately lunch (Coffin Bay oysters – yum! – lobster rolls, and bubbles for both of us!).

After a few hours of work, a trip to Anaconda – camper Mecca! Our mission? Camp slippers! Our feets are getting cold in Sherwood! (Now we know why my mother-in-law and her partner had carpet in Sherwood; we stupidly took it out. Learnings!)

Our tootsies are very happy now!

From Anaconda, I took over the driving again to drive up to the Adelaide Hills. Tonight we are staying at Johnston Memorial Park, complete with local boys playing AFL on the oval in front of us.

Back in Sydney, several of my girlfriends are at the latest Fabulous Ladies Wine Society dinner, so I’m suffering from a bit of FOMO. But here, we are enjoying Fabulous Adam & Kasey Wine Society tonight, with some Bellwether Vermentino and some local cheese (truffle brie!) from Onkaparinga Creamery.
